Speaker:

Welcome to another episode of Elevated, where we're exploring the practical and everyday use of AI for kitchen and bath design businesses. Today, we've got a special episode that talks about a real life case study of how AI is revolutionizing the way a designer works and interacts with his clients. Personally, I find it incredibly helpful to hear stories of how others are using newer tools or technologies as it sparks my imagination and helps me envision how I might implement them in my own projects. That's why, in addition to providing you with information and how to guides, I'm excited to share with you these real life stories of business owners and designers who are actively harnessing the power of AI in their work. So one of my clients recently expressed a common challenge faced in the industry. Finding the right balance between being the creative lead in the meeting, actively listening and uncovering the client's needs, and simultaneously taking notes to ensure everyone's on the same page. As you probably know firsthand, to do both of these tasks well requires full attention and skill. So, what if we could alleviate the burden of note taking and allow designers to just be fully present and focused on clients needs? This is where AI comes into play. Before AI became prevalent, it was possible to record meetings during Zoom calls or in person with a mobile device. However, uh, the issue remained that someone would still need to go through the recording and extract the relevant information. Now, with the help of AI, not only can we record and transcribe meetings, but we can also generate comprehensive summaries in a matter of minutes. There are numerous, so many AI powered meeting note takers out there. But each of them has their own set of unique features and integrations. For my client, the top two options were first, Fathom. Fathom is an online meeting AI note taker that can be easily installed on your computer and connected to your meeting service like Zoom, Teams, or Google Meet. With a click of a button, Fathom then records and takes notes during your meeting. It also provides extra controls to mark action items, highlights, or even custom types of highlights like I don't know, client decisions. Once the meeting is over, you'll have instant access to the recording, transcript, and summary. Plus, you can even sync meeting summaries and tasks to CRMs like HubSpot or copy tasks into your task manager. The other option was Fireflies. Fireflies is another excellent AI meeting note taker that shares many similarities with Fathom. However, the primary difference is that Fireflies isn't limited to just online meetings. The app on your phone can be used to record in person meetings, or if you already are recording like phone calls, those can be uploaded for transcription, summary, and integration. By incorporating an AI meeting note taker into his work, my client has been able to be fully present and utilize his skills and expertise during client meetings. This has resulted in fewer meetings and better information retention out of the meetings. Moreover, the overall client experience has improved significantly as instant meeting summaries can be provided and discussions don't need to be rehashed. Everyone's able to move through the project with clarity and confidence.
